My Very First Mother's Day

As luck would have it, I didn't bring my camera to document the festivities so I'll just tell about it. We went to the Narducci's to celebrate Mother's day with dinner, dessert and presents. As for the mothers, both Noni Narducci and Grandma Evans were there along with Sally (my mother-in-law), Becca (Mike's sister), Angela (Becca's mother-in-law) and me. Also, husbands of the mothers were there, Mike's other sisters, Mike's brother and wife, and Angela's son & his wife, too. It was a FULL house. And I can't forget the dogs...they came as well! Dinner was delicious with homemade macaroni and cheese, broccoli and cheese casserole, salad, corn bread, steaks (for the meat eaters), rolls and fruit salad with fruit dip. Yummy! Dessert was chocolate mousse, ice cream cake, pecan pie and chocolate silk pie. There was plenty to eat for all.

Becca and I celebrated Mother's day for the first time. What a delight! A dream come true for me because of the long wait for my first child. I just want to say how much I love Natalie and what a blessing she is to me. I feel like the luckiest mother in the world. I hope you all enjoyed your Mother's Day. All mothers around the world deserve the best for the hard work this responsibility entails...but what a REWADING job it is when you see your sweet little baby smile as she reaches out to you.

Happy Mother's Day!
