Crafts, Karla Style

On the second day of camp the girls rotated through various activities. Some went horseback riding while others played games, beaded a bracelet, and made guns. Yep, guns...that was the "craft" I was in charge of. We made PVC pipe Marshmallow Shooters. They were going to be used later that day in a game of Capture the Flag. I precut the pipe and brought 8 colors of spray paint for them to decorate their guns with. The girls had a blast painting them and did their best to not drop their pieces while they were still wet.

The gun I made is lying on the tree stump. Sorry, it's the only close-up I have.

If you are interested in making them yourself, let me know. They are more fun to play with than paintball (in my opinion) because they actually shoot pretty far and, more importantly, it doesn't hurt when you get hit. It is a miniature marshmallow after all.
