Thanksgiving Eve

Thanksgiving Eve: A night spent anticipating all of the (mmm) delicious food to come.

Alisa, Spencer and Ashleigh drove down from Peoria Wednesday night to stay with us for the weekend. To start the Thanksgiving festivities out right, we went over to Lee and Mandy's to hang out, eat, and jam with the family band.

Here's a short video (I mean audio) of Lee and Brennan (Kylee's friend) jamming on their drums together. The room was very dark, and as you all know, my camera needs a LOT of light for movies to be viewable. So, don't worry so much about what you see and just listen (30 secs.).



Move over, it's my turn! (2 mins.- much longer and less entertaining for sure. Also, pay no attention to sound of a "dying animal" at the end of the clip...I think it was Kylee expressing her excitement that I was done playing.)



Don't laugh, it's pretty tough to keep the beat (you just learned) in addition to the fact that playing the drums is a very physical activity! My arms were ON FIRE!

Natalie has always been very interested in listening to "the family band" when we're over there. However, it was obviously a little less entertaining for her to watch me play and actually FELL ASLEEP on my lap- while I was playing!


We had a great time. Came home a little deafer, but isn't that part of the sacrifice you make when you want to hang out with Lee?
