Riparian Preserve

My VTs scheduled our monthly visit to be held at the Riparian Preserve a couple of miles away from my house. The kids had a BLAST! We spent most of the time looking at geese, a couple of dragonfly's, and the cutest turtle ever! Although it was still warm outside (84 degrees at 10 am), you can tell that Fall is just around the corner. I couldn't be happier!

This is Mason. Isn't he adorable! He's almost 3 (I think) and is missing his front tooth. He's a little dare devil riding his razor scooter at crazy speeds down a little hill to the playground in my neighborhood. I have a feeling Natalie will be following him shortly. She's in LOVE with scooters....and I know that Grandma is giving her one for her b-day! "Oh no!" as Natalie would say!

I've never seen a red dragonfly before. I thought it was awesome!

Here are the kids checking a different blue dragonfly. You can see the red one on the left-hand side of the picture to the left of the boy's red t-shirt.

Isn't he cute swimming in that lovely green water! I LOVE turtles.

Taking a water and a Blazin' Hot Cheese and Ranch Doritos break (yummm!). Bella really liked them. It was hilarious! She is a doll! Check out her cool pink Converse hightops. I'm gonna get Natalie some ASAP. I loved them!

I can't wait for consistent 70 degree weather just around the corner. And now that Natalie is older, we'll be outside playing every day at the park, riding her scooter and trike. It will be great!

We can't wait for the nicer weather too. We are going stir crazy in this house! We'll be joining you and then maybe my scaredy cat son will ride a bike if he sees Natalie ride one! Thanks for taking such cute pics...we had fun!

That looks like so much fun! We're heading into bad weather soon--I'm so jealous of the good stuff comin' your way.
