This weekend Natalie has been and is still sick. We first realized she had a fever Thursday night. We called the doctor Friday morning and never heard back- we're very upset about that! She was miserable all day Friday and Saturday. We finally gave her Motrin on Saturday instead of Tylonol and that seemed to help. However, Saturday night around midnight we had to take her to urgent care. She was diagnosed with an ear infection and sore throat. I didn't get any sleep that night and woke up feeling awful- can you say that you "woke up" if you really never went to bed? By around 8pm Sunday night I realized that I was sick, too. It has been really hard taking care of a sick baby...you have NO idea what hurts, how bad it hurts, and what you can do to help...VERY frustrating! Now on top of that I'm sick and that only makes the situation more miserable!
This past weekend, to compensate for our lack of knowledge on how to comfort our baby, she was allowed to do whatever made her happy, which included...
Sitting in the sink with the water running while still in her clothes.
Sitting in the kitchen sink with the watter running while I washed bottles.

Eating french fries from In-N-Out...hey it was the only thing that she was interested in eating ALL day!
Eating fries sure can make you thirsty!
No matter what, we just want to make sure Natalie knows we love her!

Karla, that sucks but I am glad you made it almost a year without this happening before. Easton had so many ear infections that he finally had to get tubes. I think he had 8 in 6 months!!!! I know how bad it can suck. I hope you feel better soon.
Nothing is worse than a sick baby--NOTHING. It's a helpless feeling when they can't communicate their woes. But you did the right thing. Give them anything they so desire to keep their mind off of being miserable! Sorry to hear you're sick too! Hope you all start feeling better pronto.
You're such a good mommy. You and Mike look SO happy and I can see clearly that little Natalie has made you both the happy parents you are. There really is NOTHING worse than having a sick baby. You did good though momma! Alec loves to sit in the sink too AND he LOVES french fries from In-n-Out. We should get them together. I bet they'd have a lot to talk about. haahaa
Karla, you get better too little Missy!
Poor baby! It must be going around. Julia and Sophia were sick this past week too. Julia woke up Thursday night with a temp of 104! I too broke out the Motrin, and the Tylenol. You can do both at the same time, because they are different drugs. It seems to help using both. I hope you and Natalie are feeling better!
