Here are a few stories Grandma Narducci wrote down for me when she was watching Natalie while I went to work:
-I told Natalie that we needed to put on sunscreen and she said "Sunscreen!"
-We were playing with her dollies and feeding them snacks and had a little dolly bottle and Natalie said "thirsty" but I didn't understand so she pointed to her throat like she usually signs to let us know when she's thirsty!
-Natalie showed me her new "very big" Dora doll. She asked what the backpack straps were, so I told her and turned Dora over to show Natalie the backpack. In a side pocket of the backpack, there's a little character from the show. I said, "I don't know it's name, do you?" She said "Map!" and that's the characters name!
-The doorbell rang and woke up Natalie. We answered the door and it was a flower delivery man with flowers for the neighbors. After Natalie looked at and smelled the flowers, she got busy doing other things. After a few minutes, Natalie turned around, pointed at the flowers and said, "Flowers!"
-While watching and dancing with a little part of a cartoon, Natalie started singing part of the chorus. The song was saying stuff like: buttons are the belliest, rabbits are the bunniest, etc...and then the chorus said, "Everywhere I go". Natalie started singing the "I go" part!
-Natalie was looking at some things in the kitchen. I hid on the other side of the hall way and made little sounds to get Natalie interested. She looked around the corner. She was a little scared and said, "Scared me" and patted her chest!
-Natalie heard the beginning of a race - on your mark, set, and she said "Go" at the right time!
-Natalie saw a child's baseball game on TV and said "Run!"
Wow, all this happened in just a few hours! Thanks Grandma for spending such quality time with her and for writing these things down!

What a nice grandma! Those stories make me miss Natalie so much and make me miss having a little baby, although Shaun still amazes me with the new things he says each day. That talking and discovery part of babies is AWESOME!

Isn't it crazy how fast they pick it up?! About a year from now, she will be talking your ear off and you will wonder where the heck she came from?! :-) I can tell she is going to be a SMART girl! She has a great mama and grandma (and daddy too, of course :-)) who are raising her well!
