Balboa Island & Newport Beach

It's Spring and we're "breaking" in Newport Beach. It's beautiful here. And I'm amazed at how much money is here, too. On our way to Balboa Island we were stopped at a light next to a yellow Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. ~WOW~ I want one. I don't think I would have ever thought I'd say that to ANY yellow car, but I've changed my mind. This one looked great. As it should, the price range is: $198,000 - $217,560. My father-in-law Luke said, "Out here, BMW's are Toyota's." and I now realize what he was talking about!

But, of course, little Natalie also stole the show everywhere we went. This is on a pier at Newport Beach. Beautiful beach, beautiful girl. Little Madison is sitting behind her. Natalie is actually sitting in Lucas's spot in the stroller. We forgot ours. Seriously bad mistake! I think we'll have to buy one while we're here.

(Pictures were taken with the old Sony Cyber-shot. I brought the Canon but didn't want to lug it around without a stroller to help with the load, so I left it in the car. Oh well.)

Natalie's new Roxy hat. It's a little big, but I love it on her!

Natalie and Lucas played in the water like it was warm. Actually, the longer we would stand in it, the warmer it felt. Our feet were almost numb at the end (an exaggeration, but it was pretty cold)!

Chasing the seagulls.

She had so much fun getting wet and sandy. In fact, her last little run before we went back to the car ended in a face plant. She was drenched. As sad as this sounds, it did help with the transition from playing at the beach and going back to the car; a struggle I really wasn't in the mood for.

Tomorrow we're hitting up Disneyland! It should be a nice, fun, and LONG day. Posts will probably be made on Wednesday.

If BMW's are Toyota's, then what are Toyota's?

Ok, so is there anything cuter than Natalie's dress? I love it! Such a beautiful little girl.

And if you're going to Disneyland, you'll definitely want to buy a stroller or rent one there. When we went at Christmas, we heavily debated about whether we should bring one since Hayden is older now. He's 4 and can easily hold his own... but we were SO glad we brought the stroller. It's hard for their little legs to keep up, especially in crowds and after a long day at Disneyland :) Hope you guys have so much fun!!

Toyota's must be Yugo's. :)

We were planning on renting a stroller but I'm envisioning nasty public germs all over it so I'm ok with spending $100+ on my own. Is that weird?

How fun to have cousins so close in age who get to PLAY together so often. Hope your "break" is a blast! Can't wait to see more pics.

Yes that sounds weird for a student family to buy a $100 stroller! Just buy a cheap one or buy a tub of clorox wipes... am I the only one in this family with any sense!!!!!

Anyway you do it, have fun!!!

Chicago was the same way with cars. Ferraris were a regular sight. Now we're surrounded by beat up old minivans. Sad.

Hope Disneyland was fun.
