First Sleepover!

Last Friday night, Sally, my amazing mother-in-law, took Natalie for the night so that Mike and I could go on a date AND get an awesome night of rest! Here is Natalie, all dolled up, for her first sleepover.

The night alone was great, even though there was an emptiness to the home without Natalie! We had a fantastic dinner at one of our favorite restaurants - Pasta Pomodoro. We then went to the mall (thanks Mike!!) to do a little shopping.

Here we are after our night out on the town. I really wanted the waitress to take a picture of us at dinner, but Mike was too embarrassed for me to ask. So, the next best thing (huh?) is a picture of us on the couch. It was really weird to come home to an empty house. I had no idea how much I'd miss Natalie!

Saturday afternoon-ish I went to pick up my baby girl. Sally gave me some time in the morning to do things that are almost impossible to do with Natalie at home (i.e. scrub the bathtub), so I took advantage of that opportunity. Even though it was nice to "get things done" I could hardly wait to pick her up.

Here is a picture of Natalie and Grandma. She LOVES her. We all do. What a lucky mom I am to have such great support and help from my family. By the look of it, I think Natalie will be having many more sleepovers down the road...hope you're ready Grandma!

Look at those cute legs! I can wait to sqeeze them. That is so nice to have such great family support. It is a weird feeling to have no kids in the house. I still feel weird when my kids are gone and the are gone regularly.
