My Little Chef

Natalie loves to help me cook. Fortunately I like to let her help out! Last night we made pizza for dinner and cupcakes - again - for dessert. I'm obsessed with cupcakes right now. De-licious!

Natalie was a peach and posed for all of the pizza-making pictures. I seriously thought about skipping the pizza and going straight for Natalie's thighs. She's too much sometimes!

She LOVES olives. I had to help her put them on otherwise she would have eaten them all.

Here she is making the frosting for the cupcakes. Can you believe I let her hold that beater all by herself just so I could get a picture?! Fortunately she was able to handle it... fhew!

It was finally time to taste our creation.

She LOVED it. Who wouldn't, really? Powdered sugar, butter, vanilla and milk. The perfect combo for something wonderful. I taught her how to say Deeee-licious - so cute!

There's a little evidence that she ate pizza, but not much. She couldn't wait for the cupcakes, I mean the frosting.

I bought a pan for little cupcakes - 24 per pan. They are SO CUTE! Perfect size for Natalie, too. And they happen to be a perfect size for ME. I can just pop them in my mouth. Perfect. Maybe a little too perfect. I better go to the gym!

Here's a size comparison - regular cupcake size vs. mini-cupcake size. Sorry for the blurry picture.

Wow, you are such a brave mom to let her help you cook! Looks like she did a great job, though. She is so good at smiling for pictures, too. You definitely have her trained well - such a cutie! :)

What a good little cook!
I've had my own little obsession with cupcakes as of late--I've eyed the mini cupcake pan for a while now. Looks like I might have to spring for it! Too cute.

How fun! I can't get over how big Natalie is getting. I'm way tempted to get Hayden a little mini apron... but Ryan thinks it's too "girly." Whatever. :)

I found this a-maz-ing blog for fun ideas for cooking with kids. I know you'll love it (check out those cupcakes with the massive frosting!) http://gourmetmomonthego.blogspot.com/

Gage said, "Whoa! Nice work, Natalie!" And I agree. I can't get over how much she talks and is able to do for her young age. Smart like her mom!

She sure does ham it up for the camera. So cute! I wish I had cooked more with my kids, and introduced them to more foods at a young age. Keep up the smart mommy idea - more help in the kitchen.
