Days by the Oceanside

We're in beautiful Oceanside, California. We've been here since last Saturday. Sorry I haven't posted yet. Double sorry I haven't taken more pictures yet! Well, here are a few...

On our drive out, one of the breaks we took was because Natalie told us she really needed to drive (her words, no joke). Michael took the next exit and pulled off to the side of the road. When I opened my door to stretch my legs this is what I saw - huge red ants with pennies and twigs making up the entrance to their compound. I was terrified. Needless to say, my legs were all stretched out and I was ready to hit the road again. Of course we left as soon as we were able to pry Natalie's hands off the steering wheel.

The rest of the pictures below are the only ones I have taken thus far. Sad I know. But they are really cute! :) Natalie's cousin Rilus was getting his picture taken because he was eating sweet potatoes for the first time. Since Natalie was in on the photo shoot, I took a few of my own. Isn't the huge window overlooking the beach just amazing! It looks unreal to me in these photos.

I just wanted to point out that Natalie put her own swimsuit on and wouldn't let me flip it around for her. Yes, it is on backwards.

Helicopters passing by.

Seductive pacifier shot.

She really makes that pacifier look cool like any almost 3 year old should!

Really, doesn't the ocean look like a beautiful mural in this picture?

The sun setting over the pier tonight as seen through that big window. I love this place!

The water is actually nice. Cold at first but then definitely swimable (is that a word?). Wish you could have met us down here, Amy! However, we'll get our fill of you in just a couple of weeks. :)

Ah I love the beach. And I can't believe those ants could carry a penny! Natalie is beautiful as always.

What a beautiful view to wake up to every morning and go to bed to each night. So happy you're getting some good, quality family time. Natalie looks precious and I LOVE the backwards swimsuit! Miss you guys! Bella asked me today how to spell Natalie's name, so she's thinking of her.

Ok, ants--scary. Ocean--beautiful! Swimsuit on backwards--hysterical (Maggie is the opposite in DEMANDING that I dress her).
Looove the pacifier look :-)
