SEA WORLD!
After taking the scenic route (almost to the US/Mexico border - thanks Seth!) we arrived at Sea World. When we got there we headed straight for the Shamu "Believe" show. But while we waited for it to start we were able to check out Shamu and his friends under the water.

This is where Natalie learned to say "Sham" and then the "u (ooh)" part came a little later.
***I can't get the video to load! I'll keep trying, so you'll want to check back later.***
The Shamu show was fun. It made me cry of all things, to be at Sea World with MY daughter. Last time I was there (well the only time I was there) was when I was around 11 with my family. I LOVED this place and I was hoping Natalie would feel the same.

Here are two short videos. I was trying my hardest to capture Natalie's reaction to the show. The first one, if you miss it, she says "scared me" when she saw one of the whales jump out of the water. She puts her hand to her heart when she gets scared. Is it weird that I think it's cute when she gets scared! :)
***I can't get the other one to load, either!*** (weird)
After we saw Shamu, we went to the penguins to cool off. It was freaking HOT out and we were all drenched with sweat. The penguin exhibit was a much needed relief. And then between the penguin exhibit and the pool of sea otters was one giant pain-in-the-rear for me. Natalie was not happy. She was tired and refused to sleep. She wouldn't let me do ANYTHING for her and then cried when I wouldn't help her. I even considered jumping in the tank with the sharks just to get away - I'm not kidding. It wasn't fun so I made the decision to go home. We took two cars so it worked out that I could leave and there would be enough room in the other car for everyone else. Well, not too long after that decision Natalie fell asleep - FINALLY - so we walked around for a little bit more. Lucky me, not long after she fell asleep (maybe 20 minutes) she woke up again. On our way out we passed the otters and I took a few pictures of Natalie being cute in an attempt to make it look like she and I had a blast. Did it work?
Sea World. Maybe we'll do it again in the future, maybe we won't. Maybe if Mike was there it would have made all the difference. Who knows. Nevertheless, it didn't end up being as great of an experience as I imagined it would be and that really stinks!

I am jealous that sounds fun.. except for the end of course.. I still wish I was there to enjoy it with both of you!! She looks like you more and more every day!! SOOOO CUTE!!
Oooh, too bad she didn't like it! She is a big young to understand what is going on I guess. When we took Kaleb and Kyle, we ALL freaking loved it!!!!!!!! It was a really fun day, so you will definatly have to try again another time.
I'm sure she still had fun. The last day we were at Disneyland with Hayden, he had one of those days. Luckily we were able to run back to the hotel for a nap, but it was still an "experience" - that's for sure. You're such a good mom for at least trying.
P.S. Don't feel bad about crying - I cried while watching Hayden watch a parade at Disneyland... it must be a mom thing :)
I am sure it is just the age. You should definitely do it again. Sounds like a lot of fun never the less. :)
Looks like you guys are having tons of fun. Yes, it was freaking hot here last week!! We tried to go to Sea World on Saturday and after being there for just an hour we decided to head out because it was simply miserable outside. Thank goodness the heat wave has subsided!
