Tempe Beach Park

Today we had our monthly playdate at Tempe Beach Park. It was so much fun! Natalie was a little overwhelmed at first with all the kids splashing water and yelling. I was surprised, it actually took her some time to start playing around.




But once she figured out how much fun she could have, she ran around splashing and yelling. There was also a little slide that she went down several times - all by herself (almost)!

This is Betina and her oldest son Gage. He'll be 4 next month (on the 4th of July!). He's such a doll! Betina is in my ward. I'm so glad she was able too join us. Hopefully she will become a regular playdate attendee.


Betina also has a little girl, Bella, who is only 3 months younger than Natalie. She is so cute and has the most delicious fat thighs I have ever seen!


Betina also just had a little baby girl 6 weeks ago! Her name is Presley
(I hope I spelled that right!). She was such a trooper. I don't think I heard her complain even once about being in the sun and getting splashed.


Amber and her little girl Allie also met us there. Allie was being shy for this photo. Actually she might have been just taking a break. They got here a little earlier than we did and it looked like she had been playing pretty hard already.


Amber also invited her younger sister Heather. I didn't get one picture of her! Sorry Heather. But I did get a picture of one of her kids - Logan. She was having a blast on the whales. Heather also has a little boy named Morgan. I didn't get a picture of him either. I'm so bad!


Betina took a picture of Natalie and me. Apparently Natalie wasn't in the mood for it. Oh well.


After about an hour of playing, we all took a snack break. Bella was pretty hungry - munching on 4 crackers at a time! Or, she could have been doing that in order to maintain her juicy, munchable thighs!


Natalie ate a little bit, but was really more interested in chasing the pigeons. She LOVES to chase the birds!


Well, after about 2 hours in the sun it was time to go home. Natalie passed out in the car just minutes after we left. She was exhausted. So was I! While driving home I realized that I didn't get out the big container of watermelon that I chopped up to share with everyone. SORRY! I know the kids would have loved the watery treat. Bummer.
